Every band is but a blip on the landscape in the big scheme of things. Pulp were active for 20 years, with the last 8 years being generally very successful. They may not have translated beyond the UK but they headlined arenas on at least three tours over a 5 year period and three albums. If you want to talk "blips", we should be talking about bands that had two hit singles and 1 successful album, like, say EMF.

Exactly. As in any creative field, only a few artists rise to the summit of significance. & I say that as a huge fan of both The Stone Roses & The LA’s.

Also, they were only popular in the UK? So what if they were?

There will agree that there are varying degrees of blips. :)

I like pulp but I think sometimes when you have people who aren't the greatest singers or musicians, it can work fine on the recordings, but when they have to do it live it sounds like a bag of cats.

Kendrick started a bit slow I think but he's rocking it now. Good stuff.

Thanks for the vocabulary booster, I'd never heard the word "Choon" before. Had to look it up but now I know it's a song basically (I think)?

I’ve switched back a few times to see what’s going on but….no. I mean how many times can one person use the word “bitch” in a live set??

Choon is just the way somebody in a club or at a rave, off their face on drugs, declares that a song that’s just come on, is indeed a Tune….”Chooooooon!”

Ooh, the screen is back down. Hope it can go back up when it needs to . Or at least I think that's the idea.

If you folks don’t know what a choon is, you probably won’t know what a bop is either?

I'd say TV edges out here - it smells a lot better, bathrooms are much cleaner (and closer), and fewer drunk morons ruining the atmosphere

I know what a bop is but never heard of the Choon, I'm going to have to use that one now though.

Pointless for me to post this here - but Kendrick has been excellent, truly head and shoulders above his peers.

Anyway, ..normal service resumed, carry on burning your disco records...

Too right. There’s only one drunk m0ron ruining the atmosphere in my house and it’s not MrsKG (she’s gone to bed) and it’s not the cat so that leaves me.

Really impressive recreation of original studio version PSB tracks here - am curious how much is sequenced/sampled/live.

    And Neil’s vocals are superb!
