They dropped 100 Years Ago after two nights, even though they were promoting the album. I know a guy in NZ who says he wants to hear Winter once in his life (I guess he’s not alone), and I want to hear Have You Seen Your Mother. Instead we get You Can’t Always Get What You Want every night, as a gentle reminder...
Yes my Rattling About LP of Rotterdam Rehearsals is cool but sounds pretty awful, Iam sure there are better sources I haven't checked out.
Well they and many of us are age appropriate. I hope I don't see a Stones coffin, the Kiss ones were off-putting! (Laughs)
No better source has ever been found. This is supposedly from a cassette recorder hung from a door and the only source that exists. Unless you find something else let me know!
Well...if the August 28 release date is correct...I would assume still early for an announcement? Mid to end of July perhaps?
The only indication that this was coming on August 28th was a post on Amazon.de which appeared, and then quickly disappeared, about a month ago. My guess is that this original release date has been pushed back, probably into the last quarter to catch the holiday market.
I get where you are coming from with that! Where did you see them in 1967 & can you give us some recollections?
Nope. A supposedly very good source posted August 28 as release date on a Brazil Stones Facebook group page. That said, another source just said on IORR forum that it's out in September. So we're back to not knowing squat.
My older brother saw them every time they played Detroit from 65-72. He said 65 it was empty and Brian seemed really into it and prompting the crowd. In 66 he said it was packed and too much screaming and Brian was laid back and seemed not into it and Keith was more active he remembered. Out of all of them he said 69 was the greatest show he had ever seen by anybody (we never really got it on till Detroit!) and he had been to all the great Grande Ballroom shows. He also said The Who were a close second and that The Beatles sucked both times he saw them lol.
There is a photo of Bill wearing a Goats Head Soup sweater which IIRC was on the OGWT in 1974 whereby he may have discussed his Monkey Grip LP?
I am a member on IORR. I CAN’T SEE THAT post re September. I can’t even find that GHS thread in past 3 or so days. Last post IN the Reissue thread was June 19. Where was that again?
It was a new post up at the top this morning. Called something like “setting the scene” about what might be happening in the year/years to come. A member responds that GHS is September. If you can’t find it let me know and I’ll post a link when I go back in there
