Tehran on Apple TV was a decent watch. An Israeili agent goes on an undercover mission in Tehran. I've only seen Season 1. Season 2 is now available and added Glenn Close to the cast.

I would like to thank you for recomending the bureau, I just finished watching session 5 and am just blown away.... the series never ever lets up.... fantastic stuff
Rather than starting over with a new series, lets hope the producers do in fact produce the 'Spinoff' Season 6. They've laid the groundwork for a continued story. Yes, one of the series ever, in any genre.
Ooh thats exciting, hope they do, I note the last series was made just before covid hit, so that would of stopped them for the covid years... let's hope they do
I'm watching The Night Manager series over again. Forgot about this series. An excellent cast and premise for the series. I can't recall how the ending is. One of the few times I don't mind my poor memory . Great thread! Will be checking out some of the other suggestions that I haven't seen as well.
The Spy. Stars Sasha Baron Cohen in a dramatic turn (he plays it as serious as a heart attack) as the first Israeli spy, Eli Cohen. A 6 part mini series that approaches greatness. Very, very, good.
This was one fine series the first two seasons. Stretching it out to a third with Lewis' character was a mistake IMHO. I also thought the last two seasons were fine.
I started to watch The Spy but for some reason didn't finish it. I'll have to revisit this one for sure.
If they haven't been mentioned, try the Harry Palmer set, gritty limited budget movies that I would recommend. The Ipcress file is probably the best of the three but the others are good too.
I got a big kick out of Bill Nighy’s Johnny Worricker trilogy: Page Eight, Turks and Caicos, and Salting the Battlefield. He portrays a James Bond-type in retirement, unable to escape his past. Bill has one of his patented freak-out scenes in each of the films.
Callan, with Edward Woodward, 1967-72. It's much more about the reality of the spy business and the toll it takes on people. Some of the earliest episodes are missing or only survive in ropey condition. Callan (TV Series 1967–1972) - IMDb
‘The Ipcress File’ (1965) was on BBC 2 today and currently streaming on the BBC iPlayer. BBC iPlayer - The Ipcress File
I just watched Operation Mincemeat on Netflix. I thought it was an excellent movie telling a true story that otherwise I would have never known about. Highly recommended spy thriller! https://www.netflix.com/title/81428563
I have just watched "The Ghost Writer" and it's really good. The Ghost Writer movie review (2010) | Roger Ebert The Ghost Writer | Film review The Ghost Writer – Rolling Stone The Ghost Writer | Film Review | Spirituality & Practice
Vigil on Peacock (UK production)-set in Scotland. Nefarious activities aboard a UK navy sub. 6 episodes and very bingeable.
