The police box set is very nicely done for the money , little ribbon to pull out the CDs, all gatefolds and a b sides disc. Can’t complain for £16.66

Cool. From pics that I've seen, it looks like a nice box set. How would you rate sound quality of the CD's?

Yes. I for one would be very glad to know if a source is considered inferior. That is one of THE most important reasons I come to this site, is to find out precisely what the sources of recordings are and how ones here feel the sound quality is. So, yes, thank you! :tiphat:

    ***EDIT

By some of the other comments, though, I think perhaps the issue is maybe 'HOW' it was put across. We can still inform others which is very important, but perhaps without coming across as what others may take as 'condescending'...

Elvis Presley - Blue Suede Shoes - 2LP Le Chant Du Monde. French pressing by MPO.

I'm really pleased with this! Dead quiet, 180g, sounds great, decent quality sleeve, nice design and typography, poly-lined inners, and at £9.59 from Amazon UK it's a bargain.

I maintain that official or not, it's really nice to own! Includes WAV file download card too. Good reviews are on both Amazon and Discogs too :)

Alas, some will criticize without ever actually hearing or owning it. In my case I've done both. It's great. I've got quite a few Elvis recordings on vinyl, many original pressings too, and this stands up really well against them. :)

This pressing is also dead quiet. MPO do pressings for major labels and artists. The Springsteen box Vol 1 was an MPO pressing. I've no idea which source they used for this Elvis LP but it's a good one. See the reposting of my original deal link above. :)

Good thoughts my Brother! Thanks kindly for taking the time to share with us your impressions of the album. I also have some MPO pressings (France, right...?) and, IIRC, they sound quite good.

    Cheers mate! [IMG]

Yep En France! MPO are perhaps midway in the pecking order with maybe Optimal at the top, and Rainbo near the bottom. Super easy to spot as it's says MPO in the run-out groove. :)
