And a big thanks to Amazon UK for sending/trashing my £23 Blue Niles "Hats" vinyl reissue in a flimsy bubble wrap bag....no box or stiffening....so back it goes....but for a refund as I fear they would do the exact same thing and crunch up another copy. What is wrong with these dudes????

 

aah, that's poor. my Hats came in a huge box, with a little paper stuffed in for good measure. got here ok though. hope you get better luck next time round man

just as an aside - about 10 minutes ago I took receipt of a houseplant. chap who delivers em is usually really good and seems to specialise in purely delivering plants and shrubs. anyway, took the box off him, realised once inside that it was upside down and all the contents were all over the shop. says 'this way up' on the box n all!

pffft! plant is salvageable though - although it's looking a bit tatty. can't be assed dealing with it tonight - so I've just chucked it in the sink for now

My copy of Jethro Tull's Stormwatch 40th Anniversary edition arrived today in the same style of envelope. Fortunately, it wasn't damaged.

 

My vinyl arrived to split seem on Hats, could have cried send in plastic bag,
Hopefully they send replacement, as my only local store is sold out

Given that this is a limited pressing (1,000 copies), one wonders how many copies Amazon has ruined.

 

I hope this isn't a pattern, I won't be using Amazon to receive records mailed in a plastic bag! The other two Blue Nile arrived separate, in a box, one loose inside, and the other in a mailer. Fortunately the loose one was ok. Trouble is I now only have 2/3 of the three limited editions. I read 1000 only but none are numbered so who knows? I'm not risking another Amazon trashing, so I'll see if I can spot one elsewhere....however the price is higher, or just sold out.

 

I got a Moody Blues colored vinyl 50th that had 5 pieces of packing tape holding the cover closed with 2 large gooey stickers on the cover to boot.

Yep, that only happened one time here recently with me from a Warehouse purchase. It was the puscifer 'V' album, only the corner was even way more bent over and smashed. About 4x6" or so... I also got a refund on that one. NO excuse there!
