I’m curious how these Amazon price drops work. It seems like this happens occasionally with box sets where the price will slowly drop by the hour. Eventually it hits the lowest price and then slowly goes back up. I wonder if a certain number of people buying at a certain price will trigger the price to change directions? If enough people hold out will it keep going down?
I've read that Amazon pricing and such is heavily directed by some pretty cutting edge AI. So yeah... probably...

Unbelievable value. I couldn't have the stomach to tempt fate and NOT buy at $84 & change. When it goes back up, it isn't likely to creep. It'll probably shoot straight to $120+.
That is terribly unlikely. Actually, I suspect the price will jump back up over $100 as we near 3:00 AM on the East Coast. People likely have a couple of hours before the algorithm resets its inputs.
I got my Max Roach Trio/Hasaan LP today. Sounds great and great sleeve, but this thing is littered with nonfill. By far the worst I’ve encountered on a record yet. And as of now it is showing “currently unavailable”, so getting a replacement is up in the air. I have 30 days to return it so I will likely hang on to it and hope it becomes available again before I initiate a return. Real bummer because this is great otherwise.
Thank the gods "Village Green" isn't my favorite Kinks album, or I might be sweating to justify owning that box set!
I was in the same situation with Elwan. I REALLY liked the album and I got it at an extremely good price. But, the 1st LP was warped AND also it was OOS. So, I was concerned that I would not be able to replace it at the same cost. But, thankfully, after sending me the wrong album, the third time I got the replacement and it was fine and they said I could keep all 3.
Now $82.65, you are getting close to a second copy! I'm glad I'm not one of those who would buy it again and return my original purchase just to save $19. Seems to me I've read tales of people doing just that for a buck or two.
