Wow, unreal the way some things are packed. Looking back, I think the one I received in an envelope cost $10 plus a few$ for shipping. I then opened an account at their store, got a discount for doing that, and picked it up, in store, for about $7 or $8.
as cheap as i have seen a tone poet. Andrew Hill Black Fire [LP][Blue Note Tone Poet Series] 22.49 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07RG2TC3D/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_5?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1
Seems like a pretty sweet deal. I like it much better than Endless Wire. The Who "Who" on cd for $2.99 @ Amazon. Looks like this is a Target price match, so this deal might not last long. This will most likely their last studio album. Also includes a FREE Autorip copy for your Amazon Music library linky https://www.amazon.com/Coming-Soon-...62&s=music&sprefix=the+who,popular,223&sr=1-1
I imagine they are paying more than $2.99 for it. And then there's shipping costs. Good deal. If I didn't own it, I would now.
Leonard Cohen Greatest Hits $11.89 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0758HM88L/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I got this today, and the music is great. Solid Rasta. They shipped it in a big box with some air packs. No lp Pak. So corner bent. Still sounds great, keeping it.
Since the early ‘70’s The Who are one of my first ‘favorite’ bands! However, between the reports of autotune vox and brickwalled mastering on this pressing I’m conflicted on pulling the trigger at <$3.30 delivered (Prime). Almost grabbed the Target version a few times.... I doubt the price will go lower..... Never even LOOKED at Endless Wire... Dilemma hmmmm...
Mine was shipped the same way. No bent corners but I wasn’t happy about the way it was shipped. Then today I got the LFO Peel Session record also shipped the same way, but this time without the air packs. The spine was creased in several places. This one’s going back. Sorry to hear about the bent corner.
John Fogerty 2LP 50 Year Trip : live at red rock $14.72 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B081KRDTQP/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_5?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Y99XMTV Randomly saw this dirt cheap and the cover got me curious to give it a try and ended up really liking it as a solid un-traditional Christmas album.. They have a Blues, Country Rockish sound and figured it would be a nice change up around Christmas for only $4.58.
I wouldn't pay $3 to hear that on CD again. Horrible, horrible brickwall sound. The vinyl has a completely different master and sounds way better.
Thanks to this post I ordered the LP and had a chance to play it - great pressing. I'm not one who's crazy about vinyl reissues but this one is worth it if it's musically something that appeals to you. I've got an original pressing so I'll compare them but I have a strong feeling the reissue sounds better. Icing on the cake was that Amazon shipped it in an LP mailer style box inside of a parger box with plenty of padding.
