Thank you for noting the Sakamoto soundtrack. I am a fan and wasn’t aware that the album was available on vinyl. Much appreciated.

I listened to this last week, and it's FANTASTIC. I played it loudly without telling my partner, who was in the other room. I guarantee she would have good-naturedly ribbed me if any of these songs were as cartoonish as the old-timey theme song "I'm Pop-eye, the sail-or man..." But she did not.

So if anyone is on the fence that these songs might be cartoonish or childish, toss those misconceptions out and get this great set of demos with some stellar backing musicians.

I ordered these based on @GentleSenator recommendation...

    Everything (COLOR VINYL)
    OCOEUR
    $7.24

The Staggering Girl (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)
    Ryuichi Sakamoto
    $9.41

Being a Sakamoto fan (but far from a completist), I'm looking forward to this one. As for Ocoeur, I explored the sounds based on the recommendation and this should be right in my wheelhouse. Notice the prices are even lower. In fact. Sakamoto dropped to $9.04 since my purchase just over an hour ago (grumble grumble).

Thanks so much for the recommendations!

Electric Ladyland double vinyl for $18.26

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0033AGPFS

My copy arrived, after a looong time, yesterday. The discs are inside quality poly inner sleeves with the QRP label printed on them.

Didn't listen to the records but the ones I received show no warping, defects or hairlines. A visually perfect pressing.

Very carefully packed with extra protection inside a thick cardboard box.

Its a really great box set. I think I paid $80 for it. $130 is a little crazy imo.
I feel like if you can get it for around $80 that it is a great buy.

Watch out. I went through two sets from Amazon that both had two fifth discs and no fourth disc (Sides 7&8). Hopefully it's just a glitch with one box of the LP sets. The etching on Side 10 is nice, but it's not THAT nice.

i really like the ocoeur album. i'd only listened to samples before i bought a copy on amazon. has a real vangelis & tangerine dream vibe. even a hint of the knife in there. nice sounding vinyl to boot.

I just ordered it. Have actually ordered 3 items from your recent posts - the Elkhorn Storm Sessions (have received and listed to twice and dig it), Randall Bramblett's The Mean Time (arrives tomorrow) plus the Ocoeur release. Bramblett I'm familiar with and hope its a decent pressing.

    Thanks!! I think... :)

Elkhorn is great. If you like them, check out Garcia Peoples. Same sorta groove and scene but it’s not cheap right now. Worth a listen.

Sakamoto is down to $8.48, Ocoeur is $7.08. $15 & change for two quality albums, what's not to like about that?

Just a heads up that Target b2g1 is coming back on Sunday and it's the same price there as well so there's a great chance you can get another 33% off which is what I was planning on doing. There's always that risk it can go back up but if it doesn't i'm sure this will be one of those items that disappears in the first day or two of the sale.

Good point. When I pasted, I thought I saw that information within the link but didn’t notice the link appears shorter when actually posted.

It’s Jeff Lynne’s ELO’s From Out Of Nowhere. Gold-colored vinyl for $20, reduced from $40.
