There was a for sale post here with the same UPC that said splatter. Now I'm not sure. Let me research it.
Although the MSRP is $24.98 so not much of a bargain at $23.87. It was $18 on Amazon just under a month ago.
Damn I got all excited and ordered one then realized it couldn't be the splatter vinyl. It sold out very fast on the Dead's site.
Bryan Ferry "Live at the Royal Albert Hall 1974", $16.84 seems like a pretty sweet price for the vinyl. https://www.amazon.com/Live-Royal-A...rds=Bryan+ferry&qid=1618975739&s=music&sr=1-1
A similar situation with this, um, Gilberto Gil LP: Amazon.com : 889397840617 But would it be sent in a box or a plastic bag, that's the question.
I put the Neil Young After the Gold Rush 50th release, which consists of the LP and a 7 inch, in a box, in my Amazon cart and have been watching it go down. It started at the preposterous price of $100 bucks....its now down 20% to 79 bucks. My purchase point is around 39 bucks. It will be interesting to watch this as i am pretty sure not many people bit on the greedy hand price of 100 ....and i bet they made allot of these.
thanks for the heads up. That's one of the few Archives Official Release Series I do not have. $40 sounds about right.
I returned it to Amazon this morning. Someone will get a deal on it as I opened it for inspection. Put it right back after seeing it was black. Wait a couple days until it shows up from Amazon Warehouse deals.
same here. keeping my eye on it. down about a buck more since this morning. it doesn't need to be said anymore, but i will say it anyway: the list price on this is preposterous.
What price would you buy at...i am telling myself 40 bucks would be a fair retail price for this product. (yes i already own the LP and CD).
what's worse is that this release is being trotted out repeatedly by anti-vinyl people on other threads to make a point about current record prices. nevermind that, when in print, the original reissue of "atgr" was 25 bucks.
~$40 seems like a place to strike. it still seems ridiculous and i honestly don't even need it, but it would look pretty on display...
