I'll buy that Neil Young when it gets under 40 bucks. I get the impression that the Neil Young camp thinks that his fans have deep pockets and don't mind paying big prices because they're helping him out. Once they get stuck with several thousand of these units they can't move at $100 the price will continue to drop. $40 is generous for this package if you ask me
$40 might do it for me, but I think it would be the 4th time I bought it (original vinyl, CD and reissue vinyl) and I don't think the other 3 total $40! Also wondering if I had it on 8-track or cassette at one time or another!
This has nothing to do with Amazon, but I’ve never been known to follow the rules anyway. My local Walmart has The Beatles White Album and Esher demos, 4 LP set for 49.95. I bought one today and there was a couple more copies on the shelf. Their website still has it listed for $73 so not a clue why the price drop, but it was enough to make me now own both the CD/Blu-ray and vinyl box sets (god I hate that plastic overlay on the super deluxe box set and god I hate it when the marketing dingleberries call something a super deluxe set.)
Raw deals on Amazon... My pre-order for the Run Out Groove pressing of Zevon's Stand in the Fire was cancelled... Thankfully I snagged one from Barnes And Noble...
Complete Gospel Truth Singles on Craft Records, three LP's. $20.91: https://www.amazon.com/Gospel-Truth...1&keywords=gospel+truth&qid=1619189836&sr=8-4
Agreed but they also have "premium" releases that cost more. At least Neil gives you options. I didn't want the Young Shakespeare box so I opted for the DVD from his site and caved and bought the vinyl too. Still got off cheaper than buying the box.
Ex Confusion - I Remember When (grey vinyl): $9.15 https://www.amazon.com/I-Remember-When-GREY-VINYL/dp/B07N3RFXRD/ (ambient, electronic, cinematic) Perpetual Groove - Perpetual Groove (color vinyl): $11.64 https://www.amazon.com/Perpetual-Groove/dp/B08LT6BK5J/ (for fans of War on Drugs, Flaming Lips, Kraftwerk, Jeff Lynne...)
Nice find. It features "Rance Allen" who i became aware of from his stunning rendition of "when he returns" on the Dylan gospel tribute record from years ago. I have heard him on some other stuff, massive voice.....Sadly he died last year (october 2020).
This seems like a good deal, no? Goats Head Soup 2LP Deluxe edition for $24.99 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08C92BDF6/ref=nav_timeline_asin?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Can you yell at this one to go lower while you're at it: https://www.amazon.com/Goats-Head-S...s=goats+head+soup+vinyl&qid=1619212747&sr=8-1
Yelling at it never works to get the price down. Only purchasing it and then waiting 30 days will have any effect on price drops.
I think that's about right. If I wait for it to go down, it goes up and then becomes rare and stupid expensive, but if I buy it I see it in a month or so on Deep Discount for $3.99!
I realize Mark Kozelek has fewer fans with every new album, but his latest 2LP set 'Isaac Hayes' is down to $19.97 at Amazon with free prime shipping. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08DSX6YFQ
