Saw a couple that were part of the 3 for 2 when it first went live and now they are not, but they are still in stock (or at least “in stock soon” which is the same status as they were earlier). I saw someone mention elsewhere that they will add additional titles over the course of the sale but they may be actually dropping titles as well so it may be prudent to order earlier sooner than later.

  3. Yeah, it no longer even allows us to sort by price let alone media type.

    You're very welcome

It's rather annoying that they stopped (on purpose) making BD players with RCA analog outputs. I guess that that was done to save a couple bucks for player and for helping sales of new receivers/home theater amps with HDMI. BD players manufacturers usually make amps or home theater systems, too.

There are lots of finely restored BDs (eg Citizen Kane, Casablanca, The treasure of the Sierra Madre, Barry Lyndon on Criterion, The last emperor) with their original Mono or Stereo tracks.

And many old but still great sounding vintage amps with no digital inputs are all that is needed to enjoy the sound. I'm glad that I also have a BD player with RCA out. And I would refuse to dump or retire an old amp just because there's no coaxial or HDMI in.

They totally stopped making BR with analog audio outs?? I sure hope Oppo keeps offering repairs for a long time. My Oppo is around 10 years old.

I hate that when the back end starts to crumble... That's when I say, 'Honey, it's been fun, but it is time to trade you in'

I've been listening to the the Heavy Water album that I posted above. I really like it! The songs are very simple, but I feel the compositions and especially the way the songs are arranged are well done and engaging.

The mastering is a little laid back, which suggests that it should be pretty crankable. The band itself is kind of reminiscent a little bit of Alice in Chains, in the sense that the chords and melodies are fairly simple, moody, and slow. Of course the singing is more straightforward Rock, but still with a bit of a Doomy/Moody edge.

Oh, and the vinyl is Red :)

Just thought I'd mention it and the price is still about $12.xx I would really recommend it if my sorry@ss description strikes your fancy.
