I believe some are pre-packed in LP mailers by the label. IME Tone Poets will be shipped in a LP mailer, same with the PJ Harvey reissues. Every record that I received in a plastic bag had damage. I stopped ordering vinyl from Amazon last year. Too much of a PITA.

    Well said! :agree:

BTW, how about you listen to that Zappa Trance Fusion FLAC album I uploaded for you and actually learn something for a change...

    ***EDIT

BTW, I get the feeling that this new remix of Animals is going to be like the 'Resurrected' version of KISS - Destroyer. What they did was raise all those cool atmospherics and creepy children's voices, like in God of Thunder, up louder and made everything the same volume, and to me COMPLETELY ruined all the atmosphere. Since this one here has a lot of background atmospherics, I'm pretty sure they will do the same thing.

Still waiting for my blu-ray to arrive. Scheduled for Tuesday I think. Pisses me off as I pre-ordered 2 months ago. I've heard the remix is fantastic and I can't wait to hear it, but it looks like I'll be waiting a little longer as I ordered this for $56, and will have to send the blu-ray back. I do have a mini-lp (CD) from CD Japan on order as well. So we'll see what gets here first. Thanks for posting. Looks like a nice box set at a great price.

Thanks, got it for $61. I just landed a 1978 repress that’s a bit beat up, expect this to sound much better!

Well I've listened to it and I don't think it's that bad. I actually like what they've done with it.
I will get on that Zappa this week!

I've had the vinyl since last Wednesday, the SACD since Saturday.
Both are fantastic, both are dynamic, James Guthrie knocked it outta the park !!!!

Did anyone else get a black LP of "Main Offender" sent to them instead of the red? The sticker label on the mailer says "LTD Red" but the UPC sticker on the back of the album jacket says "Black" on it

Just a quick 'Thank You!' to @DapperGentleman for his great posts on the DD thread. I still can't post there (although I have place substantial bribes in all the right places)

I shagged the Echo & The Bunneymen (only had to hear 2 songs!)

and the Hooverphonic Collection. Thanks again Sir! :tiphat:

The listing says the manufacturer is Anagram Music. Odd for a Verve release given the current reissue program.

It is a legit release but it seems that people on discogs complain that this is a bad pressing with pops and clicks. I took a chance for $15. Will report when I get it tomorrow.
