Ordered a bunch lately. Received four today. The new Nico reissue from Modern Harmonic came in …. no bag, nothing. Price sticker on the plastic cover. Bent corners all around. Other three, Grizzly Bear recommended in here were fine. Shipped in boxes. Could not believe it came like that. I’ve had them come in plastic bags. Which is dumb, but this is dumber. Few more coming tomorrow. Kinda worried.

If there are other Carly Rae Jepsen fans out there, the 10th anniversary vinyl reissue of Kiss is 50% off at the moment - now $14.10:

    https://www.amazon.com/Kiss-LP-Carly-Rae-Jepsen/dp/B09X6GGCNQ/ref=sr_1_1?crid=3W04P36WFHPA7&keywords=carly+rae+jepsen+kiss+vinyl&qid=1664227400&qu=eyJxc2MiOiIwLjg2IiwicXNhIjoiMC4yNCIsInFzcCI6IjAuMTgifQ==&sprefix=carly+rae+jepsen+kiss+vinyl,aps,142&sr=8-1&ufe=app_do:amzn1.fos.18ed3cb5-28d5-4975-8bc7-93deae8f9840

This is the one with "Call Me Maybe," and is solid if you get past the Bieber and Owl City duets. Plus, it was only on noisy picture disc previously.

Thanks for the tips on Pink Floyd and Grizzly Bear. Just listened enjoyed both. Never heard either. Mixed up Obscured by Clouds with Saucer. Never heard Saucer. Grizzly never heard of em. Enjoying both. Thanks. And they were sent in boxes fortunately. <moderator edit>

I think Amazon must have done a systems update that has thrown everything off! I ordered a Honey Bane 12" 45 two weeks ago and the first time they shipped me a Fantastic Negrito LP. I immediately put in a return request and reordered the Honey Bane. The second time they shipped me a Foghat LP. I tried to enter another return request and they would not let me select the same return center, Whole Foods, near my home.

They kept routing me with only one option for a return, a drop box 20 miles away at Ga. Tech! Then I tried to have them credit it on my Amazon credit card, and they kept saying my Amazon card was invalid, it is clearly not out of date or invalid! I had to chat with someone to straighten it all out. I'm reluctant to reorder anything else until they fix all of these glitches, either it was a bad software update or possibly they got hacked.

A few Amazon titles that caught my eye:

    John Frusciante's 'Sphere' LP finally getting reissued - the original costs $$$$ - $12.98 for pre-order. Full-length 7-song release:
    https://www.amazon.com/Sphere-Heart-Silence-JOHN-FRUSCIANTE/dp/B00065U09A

Califone's latest 'Roots & Crowns' for $12.98 for Amazon Prime members (although it's not the first Buy Box choice for some reason. Out of stock??)
    https://www.amazon.com/ROOTS-CROWNS-Vinyl-CALIFONE/dp/B000H8SELM

Peel Dream 'Agitpop Alterna' for $10.59. "Peel Dream are back with "Agitprop Alterna," an album that pays homage to a strain of pop that spans from early My Bloody Valentine and Talulah Gosh, up through Stereolab, Belle & Sebastian, Broadcast, Rocketship, Lilys and Yo La Tengo."

Pierce Turner has a new 2022 album, Terrible Good. Unexpected! $12.59 ...

@SJP Jessica Moss's latest ambient / classical / drone project 'Phosphenes' down to $12.27. Only 2 in stock. You know what that means. One of us will buy for $12.27, the other one will shoot back up to $24.98....
    https://www.amazon.com/Phosphenes-Jessica-Moss/dp/B09HFX1GVZ

Bruno Bavota's 'For Apartments: Songs And Loops" 2xLP on Temporary Residence. Experimental with lots of looped sounds and dissonance but worth a visit! Just $10.70.
    https://www.amazon.com/Apartments-Songs-Loops-Bruno-Bavota/dp/B095Q5Q777

Sigur-Ros related ... Alex Somers - some of us bought 'Siblings 2' but missed out on 'Siblings 1'. It was on sale, then shot back up over $20. Back down to $11.76 ...

Just reporting back briefly on the DD deal Echo & The Bunnymen - Flowers, since I cannot comment on that thread. Excellent album, white vinyl, good sound. Quite a bit mellower than I normally like. Usually I leave those to the rarified and stunningly bland taste of @SJP , but although the arrangements are very simple, they still have that lovely Dreamy Classic sound of Echo & The Bunnymen. If the deal is still available, I would recommend it for those who like the band :righton:

Good gosh, your head would probably explode if you were to hear the stunningly pristine sounds of Pernice Brothers which I am spinning right now. Easily a top ten bend for me that probably isn't a thing for those who prefer their vinyl to be named Dream Theater and Tool .

As for Flowers, I got the new pressing back in May after being on the fence about getting that one and Siberia. Both are sparkling albums with the classic sound the you astutely describe. You have informed my next listen, now cracking open the Siberia pressing from Amazon that arrived a week ago, effectively bringing the conversation appropriately back into Amazon territory. It is still under $30 (plus shipping) but not the decent $26 deal that I previously posted...decent when compared to the bloated price upon release. Perhaps Siberia too is destined for the DDBB someday.

Yeah I’m waiting for Siberia to drop to DDBB prices myself. I do like Flowers a lot though; saw them on that tour as well, back before Ian’s voice was basically a burnt ashtray.

I’m probably about the last guy on the forum to get this, but I finally got Neil Young’s 3LP Decade set. $27.99 at Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071DXVKJC
This is a remaster from 2017, if Amazon is correct. Comes with autorip, too, for those that like that.

Great that it's still in print. I see Harvest from 2009 at $20, also. That's a good price.
