Has anyone compared this to the MOFI version?

latheofheaven My Pants are FULLY Analog...

Well, I just received this album and I did not have any pressings of it before. I listened to it online and I really liked it. I THINK it is my very first Thelonious Monk album on vinyl. It seems like a pretty decent deal from Amazon:

THELONIOUS MONK - Brilliant Corners $21.98 PRIME
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000000Y1G?psc=1&

This honestly sounded surprisingly good on my system (see the link in my signature below) I was just now listening to it, and to be totally honest I truly could not tell right away if it was mono or stereo! I mean it didn't have the super wide image of say the stereo Tone Poet Blue Trane, but on my system it sounded wide enough to throw me. Sure enough it is indeed a mono pressing! (OJC) but, I did have to look it up to be sure :) Out of around 2500 vinyl albums, this is only my 3rd mono pressing that I've bought that really sounded impressive! Normally since my system is specifically designed to promote a very tall, large soundstage, I usually don't have very much interest in mono pressings. But this one along with a few others are indeed quite good!

I'm GUESSING of course that if you had an early or OG analog pressing it may very well beat this one. But, this is the only one I have and would say that if you don't already own a pressing of this album, this is a very good choice. I don't know its provenance, but I'm guessing it likely is digital. But, I really liked the sound of it, so I thought I'd post it here.

  11. It’s really not a deal though, this looks like the full price… a true deal was when it was $13.99 from mid August - late October (per camelcamelcamel.com).

My copy together with the Cahoots Deluxe just arrived. Playing it right now and sounds fantastic. Much better than my rainbow LP.
My order was double boxed. If you are hesitant to buy due to Amazon's irrational packaging, they did a great job packaging these two this time.

Although sadly, generally speaking you aren't THAT far off... o_O

And, @Shawn above, I didn't say it was a killer deal, I was sharing that I thought it was a great sounding album at a decent price considering the $30+ cost of so many new (Good) albums these days...

Did you get your copy? I just received mine and they sent the vinyl LP, not the deluxe box set as listed.

The Great Twenty-Eight by Chuck Berry (Record, 2018) BRAND NEW SEALED BOX SET * 602567228325 | eBay

I started to buy this Chuck Berry Box set on Amazon for 55 bucks shipped.
I thought that was a pretty good deal but then when I Google it I noticed there was a guy on eBay that has several copies for 45 dollars shipped.
The seller accepted offer so I offered him 30 and I got it for $40 shipped. So if you were looking for this set which I was for a long time now at a reasonable price. Here you go.
Excuse me for not posting this somewhere else

So, I ordered the Beck-Odelay as part of a 3 for 2 deal. My other 2 came in fine with vinyl shipping boxes. The Beck one also came in vinyl shipping box but somehow still had bent mark on side (about 2 inch been and rough mark). I am going to attempt to return and replace. It had to have been put in bent already or heavy box was put on top of it during shipping.
