I don't like the lp THAT much, though I do remember hearing a cool remix of Bumper back in the 80's. Sly and Robbie made some killer grooves.

Walking In the Rain is the bomb though. I'll stick to my first pressing of Island Life.

I'm hoping that US Party Version of PUTTB is what I remember hearing at clubs back in 1981.

Great news! I also do hope they do "Warm Leatherette", and include the US album artwork along with the shorter versions included on the vinyl -- those are the versions I remember, and I don't think they've ever been released on CD before. The longer versions on the CD version are fine, just not the versions I knew and loved originally!

The so-called "Compass Point Trilogy" is mentioned in the link, maybe that means, possibly, hopefully, that Warm Leatherette and Living My Life will follow!

I would love to have all of them from Warm Leatherette up to Slave To The Rhythm! I think there is a lot of room to make Slave To The Rhythm a great deluxe edition by restoring the original album running order and times etc and adding in all the remixes etc. Killer stuff. Excited about this one though. A must have.

I love this album, but since I have most of the extended mixes on The Compass Point Collection, I guess I'll pass... but I'm fascinated and amazed she did Me, I Disconnect From You. That fact I had never heard before.

And yes, I very much agree with pghmusiclover, that Warm Leatherette CD should have the shorter, LP versions of the songs. The longer versions are fine and I'm happy to have them on compilations, but I want to hear Warm Leatherette end with "join, the car crash set..." and just end, rather that the instrumental passage that follows, fine as it is.

Super excited about this! I really hope they do this with the rest of her catalogue.

Excellent release, but there is at least 3CDs worth of material from this era and I'm sure there is a concert in the vaults somewhere (not to mention the wonderful videos fro this era). Not that I'm complaining, but they could have taken a little step further and gone all-out.

Yes it's a song by Gary Numan on his Tubeway Army album Replicas.

Thanks. I have just ordered it at Amazon UK. Out on 28th April with all the other editions. Hopefully there is a nice booklet in the BluRay edition; the booklets in this Pure Audio series are usually very poor.
