The less I know the better. Many of our musical heroes were disgustingly flawed human beings.

I don’t think anyone actively kept anything quiet. Books have been written about groupies and the late ‘60s-early ‘70s scene. Apparently, you read one of them.

As far as I know, Bowie wasn’t violent and never did what Roman Polanski did. I assume many other rock stars viewed groupies as just part of the deal, were careless about who they slept with, and were high a lot of the time. For example, Bowie’s infamous for consuming mountains of cocaine. None of this is news to anyone.

Bowie also happens to be dead, btw.

People who actually want to know something about Bowie should read this:

Nicholas Pegg "The Complete David Bowie"

It's thorough, it's nice and it's music and music only.

On the other hand I think it's hilarious that Robert Plant owns a copy of Stephen Davis "Hammer Of The Gods" that he sometimes uses when he wants to read up on certain things.

I don't like Marilyn Manson or rap but I'm finding joy in this. :D

You can be sensitive as s**t and also a dickwad, simultaneously. I don't have a problem.
