Hi, Grant. I use Adobe Audition 1.5 to record my vinyl. If I'm not mistaking I read somewhere that if I do that in 32 bit, I can record at 500% of 16 bit. Or something... Can you explain some of this stuff?

I'm on short time right now, but if you record in 32-bit, you can process to your heart's content without worry of clipping. You could boost the level by 500% and not clip! You can process like crazy with NO determental consequences to your sound. Just remember that before you dither down to 16-bit, you MUST get all of your files at or below 100%. -.3 is recommended for compatability with ALL converters.

If you use a 16-20 bit card, Auditoion will do the conversion to 32-bit on the fly, as it will if you record at 24-bit.
