Is there missing material from Dave's Pick Vol. 24?

They had to play a shorter concert because of an university curfew.

Edit: In fact, Bob mentions that they ran out of time.

There’s a shortage of songs but a surplus of octaves so it evens out. :hide:

One of the very best, if not the best, sounding Dave's Pick releases.

In my opinion it is the worst sounding. Both of us are right.

Click the link in the email. It's nothing impressive though; a Bertha head on a 1920/1080 white background.

So I just received #26, haven't begun to listen yet.
When looking around at setlist lists there seems to be some confusion about this show. 1971-11-17

Does set one end with One More Saturday Night?
Does set two start with Sugar Magnolia and the encore was Ramble on Rose?

It’s been addressed elsewhere. Deadbase is wrong. Set 1 ends with OMSN, Set 2 begins with Ramble On Rose.

Just stumbled across this and not sure how many know this but ABCD Enterprises was started by some attorney Deadheads who took on the task of getting Betty's lost tapes back into the right hands so they could be preserved and released. I just recently saw this similar write-up about in my school's newsletter-- pretty incredible stuff:

Lawyers share quest to recover, restore and return Grateful Dead concert recordings > Detroit Legal News

“Although ABCD did not receive a profit for returning the Grateful Dead Betty Boards, we do recognize pride and satisfaction of doing the right thing and getting the job done the right way,” said Acker.

    Wow, nice. Good Samaritans, indeed.

ABCD should form a band and call themselves "Betty Board Saviors and The Holding Company".

I am a Professor at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, where it says this lawyer is an alum, and I had no idea there was this connection. Interesting read. Thanks.

Very cool read to the backstory of ABCD...although surprised Rob Eaton wasn't mentioned in the article.
