Or we could just refer to the number we got so every time a show is mentioned, we all need to search through ten different threads over six years to match up the number with what was reported here upon receipt.

    Or just by track numbers...

or the description of the insert on the cassette tape we first had the show on: "the tape where "Joe's Beach mixtape" was crossed out and you can barely tell someone penciled in "GD 77"

Or tapes with the wrong city listed. I had a cassette of 7-25-82 for years that said "Compton Terrace, VA" on the spine.

That much is obvious. The tricky bit is to find out the question.

I’m hoping for some guidance from the collectors...(I posted this request in the Grateful Thread, but I’m still confused)...

I'm looking for plastic sleeve protectors for my:

    Dave’s Picks collection

    Road Trips collection

Winterland 73 and 77 sets (the individual shows, not the entire boxes - I have those stored)

    etc., etc....

The issue I’m having is the sizes. I don’t know what sizes to order. Obviously, the road trips releases would get a smaller sleeve than the Dave's picks.

I’m hoping someone here can post a link or PM me a vendor that you’re comfortable with. I’m noticing some shelf wear on some sets, and want to get them protected ASAP. Thanks so much.

Basically, I think the Road Trips will fit in a sleeve that's sized for a single CD jewel case, and the Dave's Picks will fit in a double-jewel-case-sized sleeve (I'm not familiar with the box sets you mentioned).

I've always been happy with the product from Bags Unlimited in Rochester, NY. They have their own factory and I've been buying their LP supplies since the early 90s.

I just bought a couple of packs of these, specifically for my Road Trips and Dave's Pickses. I recently bought a couple of these releases online, and they came in these sleeves, and I decided I liked them.

    Single-wide:

    Double-wide:
    https://www.bagsunlimited.com/produ...25-mil-polyethylenebrfont-colorredno-flapfont

These are open on one end, so you can read the spine. They also make some that have a flap, if you prefer. I think the flap is on the end, too, but other manufacturers make similar bags with the flap on the top.

The sleeves I like are polyethylene, which is softer, slightly translucent, and comes in 2.5 mil and 4 mil thicknesses (I got the 2.5 mil).

The other popular kind of plastic is polypropylene, which is usually thinner, more transparent and "crinkly". Bags Unlimited makes this kind, too, as well as other manufacturers. In terms of sizing, again, I think if you go with sleeves that are sized for single and double jewel cases, you should be fine.
