I was able to get my order on this morning via Chrome. We'll see if they actually make it to me in the post and/or in one piece, but they got my money.

Another $109.23 down the tubes. Thanks, Dave!

(Dave is my friend. He picks out shows and I listen to them.)

How did you order? I'm still on hold, and getting sick of Alligator.

  6. Under $110 out the door. Subscribing is a no-brainer.

It's not unprecedented, there were three years of Dave's Picks where they put out a 74 show for the first volume. (That's how you'd get my money Dave, plenty of 74 still hasn't come out yet...)

I guess it's not a surprise they led with 77, but I still think it kinda sucks. While I think there's something to recommend practically every GD concert they ever played, I'm not interested in putting money down when they keep going back to the well of what's for me the worst year of the 70s.

Placed my order for 2020. I am surprised anything from 77 is left in the vault. I can't help myself I even bought an extra Vol 32 because I was checking site. I don't listen to the Dead that often but when I do , I binge for weeks and listen to every year. I need to pull out Europe '72 trunk and revisit those shows....so good.
    Peace

If all goes according to schedule it should arrive 2 or 3 days before you get your shipping notice.

Meh. I am getting picky about what I send Rhino/GD any more money for. Marginal utility and all that. Prolly the only show that would have inspired me to sign up for the year is 9/28/72. Or 6/10/73. Other than that, I've done OK going the a la carte route. Swing was worthwhile, glad to see that finally out in the world. I ordered this most recent '73 only because I am constitutionally unable to resist impeccable 73 soundboards.

I was very unimpressed that in almost 20 minutes of that 'seaside chat' eulogy of all things Dave's Picks and dead.net there was not even a mention of the shambles of the non-delivery of Vol 31 to European (and World-wide?) customers without demands for more payment (pretty close to the price of the annual subscription) and then he had the affrontery to say there was free delivery for 2020. NO! there is no free delivery unless you are in mainland US. I still subscribed for 2020 and hope for the best, that something will turn up in a timely fashion without a surcharge to pay. But dead.net/Rhino could have at least given us something like a $5 off voucher or told Dave to give us an apology or explanation for that fiasco. Or the free postage they are so fond of publicising. Rant over, Dave's not in charge of the commercial side so it's not his fault although he does seem to turn a blind eye.

  16. They refunded my entire 2019 sub price due to the 31 fiasco.

I'm in for subscription this year (first time)! It'll save me getting up in the middle of the night to pre-order when they go on sale — meaning I don't lose around 10 hours of sleep throughout the year :righton:

this........as good as both 28/29th are, this seems like such dart-thrown '77 pick-bait. Can we possibly have a NYE show ever? So much of the same old.

Best show of Fall 77' and maybe a top 5 for the year IMO...long overdue.

Aww, hell, I changed my mind: I'm in for another year. Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in!

But I will be very disappointed if this year remains stuck in the 72-77 rut. I've become far less precious about the idea of ripping and selling the picks I'm not totally in love with (I've little hope of ever having a complete set, anyway), and I doubt #33 will be one that survives the culling. I'm absolutely swimming in 70s Dead and really hope there are some shows this year that focus on, you know, the other 25 years of great Dead music available.

No-brainer for me too--subscribed every year to RT & Dave's since they were first available by this means in 2008. Dave's 32 should be coming in the mail either this weekend or early next week & the annual 30 Days of Dead should also be cranking up on Friday. Life is good...

Years featured in this year's picks will be:

    #33: '77
    #34: '72 (or '69)
    #35: '84
    #36: '74

Mini-box release will be Ark '69 or Baked Alaska '80.
