The next Dave’s Pick is Public Auditorium, Cleveland, OH, 06/12/73.

 

I wrote a little poem:

You mean, 12/6/73 of course.

That would, in fact, be a fine choice. I know the 43 minute (!) Dark Star is a bit controversial, but I love both it and the 14 minute Eyes that follows. Just started listening to the whole show today, in fact, while walking to the grocery store and back.

The CM remaster is mighty fine, but not without its flaws. A full Norman, from the vault, would be really sweet.

That DS>Eyes was previously released on the Road Trips, Vol. 4 Bonus Disc, but it’s too good to have been wasted on that. Full show release is requested, nay, demanded!

 

Dark Star is always happening.

Ha! Of course.

We were discussing and I was joking about this show last week. I think it deserves a full show release. But, being some is on a RT Bonus Disc, it may not happen. One can dream!

We’re due for a 72 show.

But, one from 69 or 70 wouldn’t surprise me either.

 

Norman can't bring Weir up in the mix though. I think there's about 1% chance of that show getting a full release.

 

While we are all under self-quarantine
Dave's Picks may be the only way to enjoy a sixty-nine

 

Hadn’t gotten far enough to really notice, but that’s a drag. I like what I’ve heard, flaws in the circulating recording aside.

 

The WD and AB 50 releases are laughing at you, not with you.

(Port Chester ‘71 needs releasing, just not in that context).

Never heard this show, but a 40 minute Truckin > DS one, two punch sounds like what the doctor ordered!

 

Don't forget the CAT.

 

This a great show with an excellent Truckin and Garcia jammed out Dark Star. Unfortunately, if I recollect correctly, there is a problem with the tape. A mic or something I believe.
