    What if it's like 10/30/73 with bonus material of Eyes, TOO, Truckin', etc from 10/29.

    ha, maybe someone can blow up that photo really really huge so we can see the ones and zeros that are encoded in the cds to figure out what show it is! :)

    After hearing many 'seaside chats', yeah, has Dave ever said something was less then 'totally amazing'? That being said, yeah, he's talked this one up big so it feels like it has to be something from one of the 'big' years (for me, basically 70, 72, 73 or 74) - and also something that's not already widely circulated.

    10/18/72 has a 75 minute segment:

    China>Rider, Playing in the Band>drums>Dark Star>Morning Dew>Playing.

    that would rival the Jai Alai bonus disc

    Although some have suggested that Dave has been avoiding cover songs on the bonus discs to avoid owing royalties on a freebie. I guess that would put the kibosh on the 10-18-72 suggestion above.

    Has he ever put an unbroken jam like this on a bonus disc? The one from 7-16-76 comes close (in terms of length). Are there any others?

    I'm not exactly cash-heavy at this time (I've acquired just 2 CDs this entire year and one was via trade) and I waffled on subscribing again, but eventually did an hour or so before the early-bird pricing expired, based largely on Dave's statement (yes, I'm a fool, but maybe not in this case; time will tell). I was hoping for some info on DaP 38 to confirm that, so I waited as long as I could. I know the risks, but if it's something not spectacular, this fan will takes his chances on a la carte moving forward despite missing out on the future bonus discs. Unfortunate, but there you have it.

    The only show from 1971 that I really want is 12/5/71, but that doesn't address the main release/bonus disc content.

    10/18/72 could be the main release with other material from that run as the bonus. I mean, it's possible. That would nix a Fox Box that folks have been clamoring for, but we don't know the details, I suspect.
    One could argue that there's no valid --> between Cosmic Charlie and Spanish jam, although it's close. In any case, the Thelma bonus disc has:

    Dark Star-->
    St. Stephen-->
    The Eleven-->
    Cumberland Blues

    that clocks in a just over 47 minutes and is a true segue segment.

    There’s a hint in the sneak peek pic of #37. The hour plus of the other show will be 4/18/78 Pittsburgh? There is a Penguins poster on the bulletin board.

    I see we are back to the "slightly less doofus skeleton" graphics for 37. Oh well, the show will be great.

    If you were on the fence about subscribing, you could always unload discs you don't like at ebay. Each one increases in value.

    Damn college kid (skeletons). Throwing their Europe '72 album on the floor and getting the previous night's pizza crumbs in its grooves. The shame.

    On the other hand, I see that they have The 13th Floor Elevators debut in their dorm record collection, so all is forgiven.

    I don't mind the idea behind these covers, but the artwork looks kinda weak compared to lots of older poster or merchandise art.

    Drop the "drums" as 4/15 already has one and I think we have our filler.

    Here is what they should (will?) add from 4/18/78:

    never heard the Sugaree or Loser but I’m sure we need to get at least the Sugaree.

    Sugaree 14:57
    Loser: 7:45
    LL/Supplication: 9:39
    Scarlet>Dancing: 27:35
    Samson>Terrapin: 17:50

    No need for another Around & Around

    maybe we get the Jed from the first set
