Letterbox made a hell of a racket a short while ago. Two cd sized parcels.......containing.......new albums by Van the Man and Levon Helm and Mavis Staples......
I think Deer Creek is hotter overall. DP 17 was a great show, and has some great playing, but it's kind of sloppy, too.
Still waiting in Manchester, sent email to deadnet,no reply.Phoned UPS ,no use at all. What’s going on?
The last pick took weeks, and was delivered by Royal Mail, so I suspect this handover from UPS to RM accounts for some of the delay! It’ll happen! I spunked my birthday money on a Daves Picks 5 on Thursday, expecting delivery today. I’m thinking of telling my good lady that it’s the new pick to cover my tracks. Then I’ll think of something to say when the new one finally comes!
Postman has just been. Nothing. Every time is like this. Wonder exactly what happens in the 2 weeks or more it is apparently in the UK.........
I don't think the delay is on this side of the pond. My most recent update was 9th May: "Shipment acceptance at international carrier - United States". I order a lot from the US and this month-long delivery time only happens with the DaP CDs. My vinyl of DaP1 shipped after DaP42 and arrived over a week ago.
Sorry for this. Have you checked with the USPS tracking number too? This number is mentioned at the UPS tracking details, after UPS hand over the shipping to USPS and USPS to your Royal Mail.
At least yours has to travel over an entire ocean, I'm 90 minutes from the US border! I take a "Set It And Forget It" approach to the Dave's Picks shipments, when the shipping confirmation arrives I just "Snooze" it in gmail for 7 weeks, if it hasn't arrived after 7 weeks I email dead.net and request a replacement. This ******** shipping service is a pretty shameful way for dead.net to treat customers who spend hundreds of dollars a year on their merch, but complaining has gotten me nowhere and by now I have more Grateful Dead CDs and LPs to last me the rest of my life, so I just spin something else while I wait.
Stand by for an announcement from our zen correspondent regarding the late arrival of the latest Dave's Pick..
Nice to see some Dead fans from Scotland, I lived in Glasgow in 2006-2007 and saw no signs of Deadhead life anywhere...
Arrived on Thursday in Canada's Far East. Just dug out the bonus disc to provide me with a soundtrack to my morning coffee. The main release will be played tomorrow. Have a great weekend, everyone.
I anticipate the announcement for the next releases. Like I said earlier on in the thread, I'm going with 1980 and 1991 for 43 and 44.
I lived in Glasgow from 1996-1997 and used to wear Birks in the summer/fall. Everyone -- and I mean everyone -- asked why I was wearing Jesus shoes. No Dead to be found, but I sure had a wonderful time at Celtic Connections and getting to know a lot of 'local' bands during my time there (saw Wolfstone, Old Blind Dogs, Runrig, Bert Jansch and on and on...).
