Grateful Dead - favorite photos of the band

I think I said this earlier, but would like to again thank everyone here for such a wonderful thread. Great pics, no negative vibe, just digging the Dead. Thanks to all!

 

Hmm, what's the date on this? I believe Sept 74 Europe and Oct 74 Winterland were the only GD runs where Jerry and Phil both had beards (or maybe July/August in the U.S. too, not sure).

 

I have this as a large poster on my wall. Never seen the original, thanks.

 

Pretty sure it's from the October '74 run at Winterland.

This is the one photo in my personal collection that few, if more than one, other people have. An old friend ran into Garcia at hotel check out and Jerry let him snap this photo of him and Keelin Garcia. My friend had a handful of extra prints made, and I was lucky enough to be one of the recipients. Forgot that I even had this for close to 20 years before this thread made me remember.
