    I never paid attention and did not notice that he had several different briefcases over the years...

    "Circa 1980s, Fender Guitars custom made tweed briefcase formerly owned by Grateful Dead guitarist Jerry Garcia. Formerly the property of Grateful Dead family member Debbie "Doobie" the briefcase is one of four Jerry owned over the years. These cases were custom made by Fender specifically for Garcia.; and he used them frequently on tour to store his personal papers, sketchbooks, etc. The interior of this particular case also has one of the earliest gold metallic Steal Your Face logo stickers, which were originally made for the band and crew before being mass-marketed."
