Hey, so this is interesting - the rose on the guitar wasn't a one-off, since these are obviously from different shows. (That is, unless Jerry changed shirts during set break, which I somehow doubt...)

Plenty of photos with the Allmans around, but I don't think I ever saw this one...

That looks like it could be from 31 dec 1973- Winterland, when Jerry and Billy sat in with the ABB. Jerry had did not have a beard at that time and is playing the Wolf in this photo. Plus that tie-dye shirt! Quite the fashion statement.

Yes, it should be New Year's 73. I've seen these other shots from the same roll, but the one I posted above was new to me. In that one, it looks like Jerry's tie-dye is a tunic, since the photo cuts off, but in the below, you can see that it's just a shirt:

As far as Jerry and the Allmans are concerned, I'm curious about the date for this one:

That must be Berry in the background, and it should be Dickey's back we're seeing. Dillon Stadium '72?

That seems likely, as Jerry is playing Alligator (or the brown Strat he sometimes played in 1972). That is Berry in the background, sadly he passed several months later before the planned ABB/GD gigs at the Hofheinz Pavilion in November.

These are great photos, and what is interesting is that the Wolf has its namesake decal affixed. In the photos from Dick's Picks #1 (19 December 1973) the Wolf does not yet have the decal. Of course these photos may not be from 19 Dec, but it begs the question of when Jerry found and affixed the decal to the Ax.
