Still in Chicago... any other member still waiting theirs? I contacted them for replacement (now that 6 weeks passed).
I finally got mine yesterday afternoon here in Melbourne, Florida. I called the customer service number last week because the package showed as shipped on the Dead site but the tracking number was showing that it did not. That all changed the day after I called, I am just glad to have it, I hope it is worth the wait.
They are arranging for a replacement set to be sent right now fingers crossed this one will a) Arrive b) in one piece
YEah, really took the joy out of receiving it. If they (WMG/Rhino) were better at accommodating issues like this it would not be as bad as it is. I will say though that I (and Mrs. Ax) still get pleasure from looking at, handling and studying these objects.
I’ve been very slow getting through this (maybe as slow as some of the tempos) Probably due to me being into earlier Dead lately and being very heavy into my other musical interests as well recently Very much enjoying 6/14/76 getting close to the big Help>Slip>Frank goose bumps when they started up Cosmic Charlie.... still not a big fan of these Dancin’ in the Streets - especially all 5 of them in the set....
So my box shipped May 12th and made it Ontario, Canada on June 3rd. Arrived today. I think that was pretty good. Only problem is it’s a birthday gift from my wife and I can’t get my hands on it until June 23rd....
I had one ship day of release still not arrived, rhino shipped a second one 7 weeks later acknowledging the first was probably lost i'm still waiting.
Not cool. When I buy albums from the UK and have them shipped to Texas it does take a few extra weeks arrive, but nothing like that kind of delay ever.
My set arrived 2 days ago having escaped all customs. I checked the shipping tags. It was shipped May 7. No way it is my original order which was shipped in March, 2o. So, Rhino sent me a replacement after my complain without notifying me. Actually they wrote me that they would ship one in the following weeks but no date was given... I have a feeling that my initial order will arrive soon, but I will have to pay taxes this time...
I finally got my set on Tuesday but it's been a weird week so I've kept it shut. The outer box is cool. But today's Friday people! I'm getting Jerry high this afternoon and blasting this badboy!
Finally many many weeks later its arrived god bless the post office no customs charge given what I have spent on my Daves subscriptions so far id call that a win
Got mine today, after ordering May 20. Practically speedy compared to how long others have had to wait. Sound quality is excellent and the mix is beautifully balanced, at least for the first show. Loving it so far.
I put the 24/192 of the 6-14-76 show. Album details - Dynamic Range Database I understand he is still doing a a smidgen difference on loudness of the CD vs. Hi Res.
I saw your entry on DR Database. Thank you. I bought the PNW box which is cool looking but the DR was a tiny bit different which I regretted plus with shipping you end up paying more for eye candy/toy instead of a bit better DR for less. I have the 1977 Get Shown the Light download and it is spectacular. Thank you.
