I just looked it up Meremac May 14th 1970. I think some of the show is on a Road Trips? Did the performance get an official release anywhere else?

That's a shame, I was much more interested in that one than this new box. I had plenty of time to order though, I guess. I just assumed they'd be wearing that albatross a few more years...
74>>>>>71, plus only one box has 6-22-73

A small chunk of the show was officially released on the bonus disc of Road Trips Volume 3, Number 3.

New Speedway Boogie > St. Stephen > NFA > Lovelight.

    A great sequence of music.

    ALACs or FLACS?

Also, order all 3 together (20-CD set, 5-LP, 2-LP) or break into separate orders?
(Probably can on use 10% discount on one order though …)

Will probably pull trigger soon … gettin’ itchy …
Appreciate the advice ... Thanks all ! :tiphat:

^ Well, then they will also be quite fond of @Grateful Griller too! This 2021 boxset (& variations) look to be prime GoGD! :righton:

I lived in Kirkwood for a bit in the late 00s about 5 minutes from Meramec Community College, and it blows my mind too that they played there, way out in the burbs. Epic show, 1970 was really something else.

Thanks for this. I was wondering about the difference in price between FLAC and ALAC.

Stupid question, but I'm confused. On the 20-CD set, what is the deal with the required three selections for ALAC or FLAC?

Ordered mine last Thursday, will be my 2nd ever GD box.

WHen I got my confirmation they had the wrong state on my address. This was most likely an error on my part. Columbus Alabama instead of Columbus OH. Everything else right, zip, phone, etc...

I emailed them and they gave me a ticket number- hope I didn't make things more complicated. Guess I'll worry about it in October.

Also, kudos to everyone in this thread. Pure class.

I think the selection for the whole set (for digital download) is either ALAC (44/16) or FLAC (192/24) and then you can also download three individual songs in either format.

Pretty sure the Downloads justify charging us right away. They’re just giving you an option for the file format.

My receipt says that Mr. Charlie (from 12/10/72) digital single releases on 8/11/21 and Playing in the Band digital single (from 12/10/71) releases on 9/1/21.

The Sugaree from 12/10/71 digital single was instantly available for download (which I am doing now). I chose FLAC (not knowing it was hi-res at the time) and the size is 299 MB.

Edit: Sugaree is 303 MB in FLAC and 8:49 long.

I was going to wait on this but, well, I got twitchy and finally pulled the trigger on this.

There are 3 digital singles you get to download before the CD release on Oct. 1. So, you have to choose which format you want. Available immediately is Sugaree. On Aug. 11, Mr. Charlie, and on Sept. 1, Playing in the Band.

EDIT: oops, Tom H already answered this. :)

Listening to "Sugaree" in all its HD and 300MB+ greatness (although I'm not sure I could tell a difference between this and a CD).

Success! I received confirmation they cancelled my order for the 20 cd box. I immediately ordered the FLAC's with that handy-dandy cuopon code that's been floating around here and it worked!

    All is well!!!
