Deft. 98% scanner scammer, but at minimum 2% overtly difficult going forward anyways, let's be honest

This is not an advertisement. This is just saying that there is one music seller out there who will admit when his business makes a mistake. Full refund. This is not the same seller as the scratched Hendrix CD. See Below.

The problem is when you do get a faulty product and the seller arrogantly says he stands by his grading it tends to piss you off. I'm not about to lose the cost of shipping it back when the seller will not add the price of reshipment to the refund. I don't care if Pay Pal will cover the cost or not. It's the principle of the thing.

This is what I was told by GORT @Jerry

I would avoid that. The rules say to avoid
Libel, slander, and attacking individuals both inside and outside of the forum; this includes retailers, online sellers, recording industry organizations and equipment manufacturers.

The PM angle should cover you, as it’s not accessible to the public.

However I don't think a seller is going to have a fit if your tone is positive and telling what a great job they did.

This seller sent me the 2009 version of the White Album instead of the 30th Anniversary Edition. I messaged him the moment after I opened the package. It turned out we lived 30 miles from each other and he went out of his way to meet me for an exchange.

@Strat-Mangler sometimes it is the seller who stands by his mistakes who turns the transaction into a positive experience.

It can be a real sticky wicket for certain. I tried to play nice but the seller wouldn't cover the return shipping. I went through Paypal and it ended up costing me $14 in the end due to Paypal's $30 limit and the high cost of tracked and insured return shipping from Canada. I learned my lesson the hard way and will not purchase anything anymore without a picture sent to me via email for confirmation as to it being exactly the one I want.

Anyone finding that Discogs seems to be off line or showing error messages when accessing the site? I've had it happen a number of times recently.

I've never had bad experiences with the actual sellers of discogs (mostly because I only buy from high-rated sellers), but once in a while I'll have an issue with Discogs itself, acting screwy, like showing that my order didn't go through, but then getting an email that it did, but then not being able complete it sometimes, and just weird glitches here and there.

That time you forgot you bought a download on Qobuz about six months ago. Then minutes later you find out you can add it to your collection on Discogs. Of course it isn't worth anything. :D:D:D

I've always had great experiences dealing with catsmeowjazz. The owner ran a record store for many years. Not only is everything as described, priced reasonably, shipped quickly and well packed, he usually adds a bonus LP of his choice.

My latest Discogs Pet Peeve is something that has been happening a lot for the slow rate I sell. Sellers place order, sometimes pay and sometimes not. But then they ask me questions and want pictures (which I state I would happily provide in the description)! I never placed an order on Discogs without having all of my questions answered first - even if this meant risking losing the record because a more motivated buyer beat me to it.

I've had to update to state seller should ask questions first, buy second. Common sense and courtesy by others should not be assumed.
