I remember being thrilled by the Beatles Red and Blue comps when they were released. I thought they were cool being double albums and warranted.

What are some other double album (or more) greatest hits, best of type comps?

In fact there are numerous Motown comps that were double or triple albums.

Living in the Past was more of an odds and sods collection. The Best of is a proper double album hits collection.

As was Stevie Wonder's "Looking Back," and there was an ANthology for most of the major Motown artists.

I don't know about the sound or whatever on these, but the 3 or 4 I've bought were all excellent purchases for the < $10 I spent on them. Wish I could find the couple I'm missing, I really like these comps.

Bee Gees Greatest. Especially outstanding as all the hits came from a 4 year period!

Steve Miller had one in the 70s (and it was all pre-Joker stuff).

The majority of these are "Best of"s or "Anthology"s or "Essentials"...they don't really count, do they?

If it wasn't a top 40, it ain't no hit.

When that's the definition, there aren't a lot of artists that really qualify.
