I nominate this for Brian's interesting keyboard technique beginning at 1:10.

Also because this was the last great Beach Boys single.

WHAT. How have I never seen this before? Somebody needs to write a book (or at least a feature article) about this!

I've always liked this one, Holly Johnson going for a walkabout amongst the audience

Gotta be this! The late John Peel (UK Radio DJ) ON mandolin and The Faces playing football on Top of The Pops..

  8. Andy Smith

Andy Smith .....Like a good pinch of snuff......

At least John had the decency to look embarrassed about the whole thing.

As a kid'let', I always believed this was a live vocal performance....
    I still enjoy it anyway.

The 1965 Ikettes (Vanetta Fields, Robbie Montgomery, Jessie Smith) lip-syncing the 1961 Ikettes (Delores Johnson, Eloise Hester, Joshie Jo Armstead, + Tina Turner) recording of 'I'm Blue'

    The obligatory inclusion :righton:

Queen "Live" at the 1986 Montreux Jazz Festival. They lip-synched a 3 or 4 song set. However, before launching into "A Kind Of Magic", Freddie has some fun with the crowd.

Greatest lip syncing was done by the Beatles, of course, in Around The Beatles 1964

I guess everything's synced apart from the lips but still, I feel like this probably deserves a mention..

This is lip-synched but it still kicks my ass every time:

  24. Not a fan of fake singing [lip syncing] by the artist; only find the screwups can be somewhat entertaining sometimes.

However, here's an actor acting, so it truly is a preformance:

Julia Butters impersonating Sly & the Family Stone's recording of "If You Want Me To Stay".
