Cotton Mather - Cotton Mather was the most famous minister in New England at the close of the 17th century. Toward the middle of the 1600s, the Puritan revival in America began to wane...

I wish the search engine would make a distinction between a search of "the cars" and the cars. Those kinds of searches could work if it did. In google if you put quotes around it, the search will pull up only instances of the word cars that have a space and the word "the" before it. I believe it's called a boolean search. Whereas here it will pull up all instances of the word 'the' and the word 'cars' regardless of order and makes for difficulty searching for instances of "the cars".

It would be nice to have hard-to-search-for bands' threads indexed and stickied here, but that is unlikely to happen. A previous search for info on "Who" comps was so frustrating that in the future it'd be easier to just start a new thread.

Makes you kind of glad they went with "Beatles" instead of the correct spelling. :agree:

    Search Engines

I'm aware this post may be considered somewhat OT, however I will plough ahead anyway...

I've been a more than satisfied user of Copernic Agent Professional for years now. It's a program that combines the results of several different search engines, i.e. you don't get just Google's results...

There's a basic and free version available for download at Copernic's site which is still better than using just one engine.

Sorry for the threadcrap if you will, but I'd like to pass this software along...after all, information is what the 'net's essentially about, isn't it?
