My observation is that you've made many threads (including now, this one) "about yourself" thanks to your totally unnecessary abrasive style, which contrasts quite noticeably with others'.

    Good thread, tough one...
YES fired Peter Banks then later fired Tony Kaye in 70-71 Banks formed Flash, and Kaye was on the first record though Kaye never officially joined and formed Badger with former Yes and Jon Anderson collaborator David Foster.

Think this one is better than the Yes East/Yes West mention from before. That was more like available guys reassembling than a split.

    Mike,
Some people actually grasp what the topic's about. As things are, there's always, somebody's always got to shift it back the Beatles/McCartney for no apparent reason or a sociopath has to go off about Brian Wilson vs. Mike Love, along with a few other off course discussions.

Here's what you can do - if you don't like my thread, of which there haven't been that many this year, there are plenty of other option to point your obnoxious backside toward those that might be more to to your liking.

I'm going to give you a "yay" vote here. Two factions split off to create two distinct entities.

I fully expected that you would double down rather than reflecting upon what I said. You didn't disappoint, and your choice of adjective is a very clear case of projecting.

And by the way, this has nothing to do with the topic of "your" thread — but rather, your behavior in several others in addition to this one.

In 1955 Bobby Nunn and Carl Gardner of the Robins moved to the East Coast and formed the Coasters (with Billy Guy and Leon Hughes) ; the other three members remained on the West Coast and continued as the Robins

Originally, Strummer and Simonon stayed in The Clash and Jones reunited with Topper and formed the Top Risk Action Company. Topper’s drug addiction caused him to leave TRAC, and that band became Big Audio Dynamite.

    The Move became ELO.

Roy Wood left ELO and formed Wizzard, with Rick Price who had been in The Move (but had not been in ELO).

Rick Wright toured as part of David Gilmour’s band.

Nick Mason guested at a handful of Roger Waters shows.

I think this one counts. Because two guys (Neal Schon and Greg Rolie) left Santana to form Journey - thus meeting the OP's premise.
