Ruined by having read the giants of 20th century poetry, lyric videos almost always make me cringe. The two exceptions are the very well written and the very simple. This is very simple. A crunchy little tune jam-packed with indefensible lusts. May 29
Listened to the new Oranssi Pazuzu album and I wish it was more rocking. In looking at videos I saw this which is at times mesmerizing and at other times a bad acid trip. Beautifully shot.
I found access to this difficult album through song #6 Visceral Ends. I'll proceed from there. 1. The Lifeless Advance (00:00) 2. Exhale the Ash (07:02) 3. Stare Into Death and Be Still (13:21) 4. There is No Horizon (21:46) 5. Inversion (28:49) 6. Visceral Ends (35:54) 7. Drawn Into the Next Void (41:36) 8. Dissolved Orders (50:13)
With one eye on the clock I had this stuck in my head all afternoon. "Self-schism The last chance of escape Devour the hours Until only darkness is left" at 1:30 and 2:40
DEEEEE-VOOOOOUUUURRRRR THE HHHHHOOOOOOUUUURRRRRR....when he sings that part real slow, it cracks me up
On May 29, Earache Records will release "Altars Of Madness: Ultimate Edition" from Florida death metal veterans MORBID ANGEL. This essential reissue features not only the original classic album, but a second disc of "Juvenilia", recorded live at Rock City November 1989 during the "Grindcrusher" tour with NAPALM DEATH, CARCASS and BOLT THROWER. "Altars Of Madness" has been recreated using full dynamic range mastering, pressed from the original master tapes giving the listener a more aggressive and dynamic audio experience. This "Ultimate Edition" digipak includes new 2020 artwork, as well as the fan-favourite CD bonus track "Lord of All Fevers & Plague" in full dynamic range for the very first time. The release also marks the very first time that the blistering live set has ever been available on CD. LOL. I love it. So much gravel on that vocal road. That has to be the definitive edition. I'll buy it. Thanks for the heads up.
I'm replicating a posting at NCS by posting the same vids. IRIST: "ORDER OF THE MIND" - NO CLEAN SINGING My original comment was to be that I'm not into the song but I like the video a lot. I'm not into Hardcore although I've had my ear persuaded by segments of select song. And that would be when the song deviates away from the genre. Then in listening to the second song I liked it. The third song, very workman like, is the business and I like these guys.
Azath travels lean; I like the marriage of stripped down play with spartan production, and a bit of hard rock rebar for structural integrity. Missed this, and now headed to bed extra-happy. Just ordered the CD on 20buckspin - thanks for the notice!
Pretty cool Ozzy cover. I like the social distance aspect with what appears to be a separate dwellings jam. It can't be that simple to pull off can it? Nah. Face paint guy's little jump onto the sofa is awesome.
Nice! I haven't picked it up yet. I read that bandcamp are going to be doing another artist benefit day on Fri May 1st, so I'm going to probably order the vinyl from them then, along with some other stuff on my bandcamp wishlist.
