I listened to all of HELL-BORN's Natas Liah album and I'm disappointed as it's good but fairly ordinary. I really hyped it in my head these last two weeks based on the excellence of the final track. That's the one with Behemoth's Nergal on vox and every utterance a gem of black vocal enunciation. Maybe this will grow. HELL-BORN - "Natas Liah", by Odium Records

I have 'til Oct to win a lottery. Wifey is in a work lottery gang. I'd rather go lone wolf myself if I were buying. I'll rent one of those double decker sightseeing buses but with face painted go-go dancing Grrrrls. :D

Now this is a very interesting video with song one a slick high production power metal (melo-death/metalcore) presentation then mid-way we transit to B&W and an entirely different type of song and video. Once song two actually kicks off at 9:28 I like it more than the slick first.

Funny comments: "That is the loudest TedX talk I ever saw" and "Nothing says metal quite like a blazer and turtleneck"

Another split video from last year. I don't like being shouted at relentlessly so I'm not really into part one of this, as visually cool as it is. When the video switches to the studio it's plain awesome.

EDit: 30 mins in and this metalcore is not my thing. I really like the power guitars though. The uniformity and relentlessness of the attack is fatiguing.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - so many albums in this genre have simply amazing art. Stunning.

(But how is anyone gonna be able to read that?)

Was it The Grateful Dead that started that stylized indecipherableness in 1969?

Another track from Eximperitus which will be out tomorrow. I have the feeling this is does not work as individual songs. It's a whole album thing. BTW I just saw at AMG they reviewed it today with a 4/5 and DR of 10. Good to know we aren't nutz.

I like it too. I'll never be able to say the band's name, but I enjoyed that track.
