    Now playing :righton:

I was rather cold to it at the start but by the end I was fully onboard. Gonna check it out fully as well. Bind, by 1000 Bone Cylinder Explosion

I like this. It also continues the hot streak of good sounding recordings. Good but not great or typical. It's bracing, clean, bright but can still be cranked. Love that vocal stretch at 4:24.

French BM which I like more each time I play it. I especially like the bass during the interlude after 4:00. Oct 8 Sidereus Nuncius, by Hegemon

Finally listened to it today. Unless u don't own it already or are a completist I would pass. Not an upgrade sonically and the live tracks are not much to listen to. The interviews in the booklet and the overall package are great though.

Seen at NCS I liked the song title "Cage of Gods" and got lucky for it began well but could these poor devils do an interesting 8 long minutes? I think not but still cool for awhile. Knocked-out in the 5th round. Oct 14

Away with the black metal for a bit. Time for some spacey prog death. The drumming at the very end had me think Tool has cast a long shadow indeed. Oct 29

The album in its entirety. I love the sound of it. I'd returned to the album specifically for the SQ but now the songs are growing on me. The album opens beautifully. Traditional rock slamming headfirst into black metal. Unfortunately when everyone is going bangers its a mess and I still think every song is too long.
    Purchased. Grrr 1/2 :righton:

    Official DR value: DR8

Tune in at 26:00 for some cool bass (though of the cavernous variety).

I listened again and I'm really excited by this. After your posts Rivers put out a performance vid for Clean. Wow what a different look from the psychedelic hippie commune. Love a band that keeps moving forward. I had a flash of Pink Floyd synth during the outstanding interlude.

Why did I remember being indifferent to this band in the past? I listened to Clean, was gobsmacked, listened to Focus and was totally blow away. I checked out a couple of their older songs and I am now prepared to go down the Rivers of Nilhil rabbit hole...

At the other end of the hifi spectrum is a new album next week from antagonistically low-fi Lamp of Murmuur.

Hell yeah! Welcome to the party! They are evolving with every album. It's exciting to see. I'm just really getting into them too. Wish I would have pulled the trigger on a copy of Owls on vinyl while the vinyl was affordable....

Available for free. I checked out of curiosity and last year's debut album is currently $10. I'd like to reward them (it's one guy) just for choosing $10 instead of $9.99. Submission And Slavery, by Lamp Of Murmuur
The numbers vary from song to song as does the sound, though it never escapes the low-fi dungeon. Listening is a bittersweet experience.

YES YES YES. How about some bicep bulging, casually paced death metal. Death-doom? Nothing weird. A solid work-out.
It was the cover that caught my eye. When I looked for audio last week with those accursed key words I of course got nowhere. €3 for three ten minute songs sounds about right. Out today. Concealment, by Knowledge Through Suffering

I don't recognize the sculpture. If anyone knows. Or is it even real? Just computer made?
Edit: I don't think it's a photo of a centuries old sculpture. The man's neck is wrong.
