Japanese BM which is as I'd hoped, distinctly different from western metal. This song is the jazzy, pop one of the two and not black at all, although probably too esoteric for the mainstream. Nice guitar solo finish. Shiki, by Sigh
From the Banger review traditional BM with traditional feeble production values. Despite the malnourished production the music is very enjoyable. Vitriolic Atonement, by CELESTIAL GRAVE
Cheap video but cool song from DAEVA of Philadelphia. Oct 14 Through Sheer Will And Black Magic..., by Daeva
Subjected my organic brain to the intense pleasures of the keyboards on "Artificial Brain" the album. One indulgence being from "A Lofty Grave", the solo at 2:00. The keyboards and perfect bass notes I found were the work of one man named Samuel Smith. I was happy to see there's an interview with him on YT. DR 10 A Lofty Grave, by ARTIFICIAL BRAIN
The philharmonic came out fully for this deathly doom from "Abyssic" of Norway. I think the orchestration here is very good, much better than I remember hearing elsewhere. I like that modern keyboard instruments are included. Oct 28 Brought Forth In Iniquity, by ABYSSIC
Saw Graceless has a new album out this Friday and jumped into the middle of the full stream. Middle of the album that is. Landing on this song I'll have to hear the whole album. Graceless - Chants from Purgatory (full album premiere). Chants from Purgatory, by Graceless Song #4 of 8
Palate cleanse with super catchy retro 80's trad metal. Dude has some high Halfordian pipes at times. Beware the very low volume on the single and at bandcamp. I forgot to return the volume to normal range and Intranced, by Intranced
Eric, the link is messed up. It's availability must have changed after your post. Slippery creatures.
A terrific new song from Veilburner. As most music from Veilburner strikes me as eccentric it's novel to hear a conventional song from the duo, Mephisto Deleterio - all music and production, Chrisom Infernium - all vocals, lyrics and visual art. Ah frig, I must have forgotten about the wait until Dec 5. VLBRNR (Dissonant Death/Black Metal), by VEILBURNER The song: Grrrrr 5/5 (written while intoxicated by a dueling guitar solo). That intro, a diabolical Hollies. Very crankable as well.
5/5? ...shucks. He sure does. I'm guilty of that cynical expectation that it's just an old band living off past glories. I like this.
