I'm a big fan of GNR's "Use Your Illusion" albums and since I only have "Use Your Illusion II" on CD while owning USY I both as a CD and vinyl, I tried to find a cheap vinyl copy of the 2nd part on discogs when I came across this:

Guns N' Roses - Use Your Illusion III

Can anyone tell me more about this album since I never knew that there was a 3rd part of the "Illusion" albums. And since UYI III isn't available on discogs, does anybody know where to buy it?

It's unofficial meaning it's a bootleg. So you can't buy on it Discogs. It's against the rules to identify sources of bootlegs here. You'll have to do your own internet search to find a copy.

Ah, I see. That explains why I couldn't find a thread about this. Thanks for this information. Interestingly, according to discogs, it's not banned there. It just seems as if there is absolutely no copy available at the moment...

It's banned. The rules are clear, no bootlegs or counterfeits. Technically "unofficial" releases are allowed. Test pressings and Fan Club items can be considered "unofficial." You're allowed to sell these. Discogs about 2 years ago delisted sales of all unofficial releases. I guess you can list them now but, you risk an account wide ban if it get reported as a copyright violation transaction.

Ok, good to know. Since I only buy on discogs and never sold anything there, I didn't look this up and exactly know this particular regulation. It just cofused me that they didn't write it directly underneeth the article that it is banned and as they normaly do. Hopefully I'll be lucky to find this CD elsewhere. Thanks.

Here's to hoping that if GNR release a new album with the current touring lineup it would be
    Use Your Illusion III

Please don't let them call it Use Your Illusion III... They don't need to "Meatloaf" the title.

The songs on this bootleg are demos which have been released on countless bootlegs before within the years of 89 - 94.

You can find all songs easily on the internet. If you want a physical copy watch out for the bootlegs called „Rumbo Tapes“ and „Make my day“ which are from the very early 90ies and have proper quality. They should include most songs listed on this UYI III bootleg.

I suggest to avoid UYI III cause it seems to be a younger release and therefore might be mp3 sourced.

Really cool to get to know all that. Thanks for all the information so far. I do not actually want to have UYI III just to add it to my collection next to UYI I and II, I'm just interested in the songs on it, since I don't know any of them, except from "Sympathy For The Devil" and "Jumpin' Jack Flash", which are obviously Rolling Stones covers, another band I'm a big fan of. As well I have the GNR version of "SFTD" on my GNR "Greatest Hits" CD from 2004

I've been hunting like mad for this. But... sadly, bad news:

    * The guy who created this, as well as three other homebrewed installments of UYI, is completely impossible to reach now. He only sold them on a Brazilian auction site, and has shut his sales off.
    * One other person on that same site was selling UYI 3 only, but refuses to ship to the United States.

So all we can do is drool over them now. XD

But that's not all.... I've contacted everyone on Discogs claiming to own this, to no response.

I also found a blogger who owns it and reviewed it, and he's ignored me both on e-mail and Facebook. So it's a dead end.

From what I can tell, nothing actually by Guns 'n' Roses.

    01) Killing Time [Hollywood Rose]
    02) Dead Flowers [Gilby Clarke]
    03) I Did U No Wrong [Axl and Steve Jones]
    04) Rocker [Hollywood Rose]
    05) Under My Wheels [Alice Cooper and Axl]
    06) Back In The Saddle [Sebastian Bach and Axl]
    07) All Night Long [Rapidfire]
    08) Ready To Rumble [Rapidfire]
    09) Prowler [Rapidfire]
    10) On The Run [Rapidfire]
    11) Closure [Rapidfire]

    Compile it yourself, honestly. XD

If it helps, search for UYI 3 on Archive.org. Someone uploaded a VERY similar album - basically the same songs, but a different order.

Interesting. I've got a friend who is the biggest GNR fan I've ever seen and he doesn't have UYI III either. He told me it was made and sold in portugal or spain...

I'll be honest, if you don't know these songs (as I didn't until recently).... it's a MASSIVE let-down.

I'm talking, like, Axl and a Casio singing a song resembling "Holiday Road" let-down.
