Well I may be wasting my time feeling good over these silly Christmas movies, but reading this gave me a headache.

And I like that it harkens back to the 1940's. I really like plots from the 1940's era.

My wife watches these all the time. It's the only thing on the TV when she is around. She doesn't necessarily watch them all from beginning end but they are always on this time of year in the background. I catch bits and pieces here and there and they do pretty much follow the same formula that's been mentioned. Saw some of "Christmas Wish" last night with Lacey Chabert. Only thing I took away from it is that she liked like she might have been pregnant during the filming and they were trying to hide it because it seemed like she always had stuff in front of her in the scenes I saw.

Anyway, my wife likes the movies, I hang with her for a little bit while they are on and then I go upstairs and listen to some music. Everyone is happy.

I do believe these movies are of a particular genre.

Since Thanksgiving, they've been interrupting the regularly scheduled action-packed episodes of "Hart To Hart" with these wholesome, uplifting movies.

My wife and I watch these, and although we enjoy them, it's pretty easy to figure out the plot. Some girl with a jerk boyfriend meets the guy she will end up with, 5 minutes in. He's either a prince, a chef, a cowboy or a small town guy.

There's a small town about a half hour away from here that we go to when we want to go out to eat sometimes. When it's all decorated for Christmas it looks exactly like the small town in every Hallmark Christmas movie, and we jokingly call it "Hallmark Town". Even when we are walking down main street we try to guess which couple are the leads in the movie we have found ourselves in! :D:D:D:D
