I'll always remember the "needle through the arm" trick he did on Saturday Night Live. Although he kept insisting it was a trick, I thought maybe this guy was crazy enough that he was doing it for real. Years later I found out that not only was it indeed a trick, Anderson even sold it on the internet.

RIP.

 

Looks like a Night Court binge watching for me is coming...

Very bummed to hear this. "Night Court" was my favorite show growing up. My brother and I would tape it every week and re-watch them till we knew the gags by heart.
Every member of the "NC" cast was great, but Harry was the glue that held it all together.

I now know the cause of death.

According to Shadoe Stevens himself, it's a stroke and he'd had another one a week or so ago.

Been a fan since I first saw him on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. Then, of course, Cheers and Night Court. A magical character in his own right.
