Has Elton John recorded another song that rocks harder than "The Bitch Is Back"?

Well, the live version of Love Lies Bleeding on "Here And There" rocks hard as **** too.

Love Lies Bleeding is the winner—and the best thing he’s ever done as far as I’m concerned.

I'd say that Rock Of The Westies is his hardest rocking album. As for standalone tracks, Love Lies Bleeding and Saturday Night's Alright are the ones imo.

His cover of Pinball Wizard rocked pretty hard.

‘Rockin’ is a pretty subjective term. I liked ‘Susie (Dramas)’.

Yep. Saturday Night rocks harder, and Funeral/Love Lies.. is Elton's proggiest and best overall tune that also rocks very hard in the 2nd part. Really no need to think too much harder about it.
The raw fuzzy electric guitar lead in Sat Night reminded me at the time of the harder rockin version of Revolution by The Beatles.

HM to Curtains from Captain Fantastic. (Great drumming on the live versions). And Meal Ticket from that album rocks just as hard as Bitch.

No. No he has not. "Saturday Night" is a close second.

This might be a controversial take, but I'd nominate 'Bite Your Lip (Get Up And Dance)' from'Blue Moves'. It rocks.

There we go! I remember first listening to that and I kept rewinding the last minute of that song. So much adrenaline!

I agree about Bitch is Back Out-rocking by just a hair, the mighty Funeral/Love lies bleeding, but it’s close.

Short and sweet verses longer and heavier.

Davey Johnstone is a wizard either way but, BIB is like a highlight reel of his best hooks! IMO
    Great sax solo too.

I don't know about "harder" however the live version of Bad Side of the Moon from Here and There rocks pretty hard.

As does "Ballad of a Well Known Gun"

Far from being one of my favorite singles of his, I'll gladly admit "The Bitch is Back" is one of the best sounding.

And he was singing about sniffing glue before the Ramones!

i actually think BIB is pretty light compared to the others mentioned on this page. seems more of a pop song to me.
