HBO doc United Skates

on demand HBO. love a good documentary that shows me a part of the world or a subculture i knew nothing about. which this definitely accomplishes. well told story about the society of african-americans and the roller rink. while not a thing in the area i live, it was quite interesting to see how the people come together to express themselves and establish a sense of place, especially around keeping the rinks from going under in today's real estate market. while a bit repetitive as it goes on, definitely worth your time if you enjoy docs.
