Heads up!........ifi Phono 2

I use MM yes, but the MM setting has less gain no? MC needs to be boosted more. At least the noise gets louder on the MC gain settings.

 

I keep mine in my pants... I've also tried moving it around. I rather like it, but I can't say it improves the sound.

And, my phono amp only hums when it can't make out the words...

Yes, of course, sorry my question didn’t really make sense lol …I’m using an iPower2 btw, not sure if that helps in it being quiet. Yours don’t seem to be hum/ground loop issue, more of a whooshing sound you said. Maybe you’re picking up some RF?

Read some of the older posts about issues to iFi items. My Zen Blue and Phono have had zero problems (cross fingers). (BTW you have good music tastes, mate…Nick Drake, Smiths, Mingus, LA4, etc.!)
