Absolutely the wrong approach, in my view. Give me the session takes. Then, if they want to create some "ultimate version", fine -- throw it in there.

(But make it absolutely clear in the liner notes what was done to create it. I want to know exactly what I am listening to...)

We need a 2 or 3 CD set of all of the incidental/instrumental/orchestral music from the "AHDN", "H!", "MMT" and "YS" films and it should be called..........."Reel Music"!!!!

Yes, I agree: a hybrid of takes only if there isn't a complete alternate take in the vault worthy of being showcased. I wouldn't want another abomination like the Anthology 2 hybrid mix of "Yes It Is" foisted upon us!!
I think the version of "That Means A Lot" on Anthology 2 could be remixed into a better stereo mix: that could be something to look forward to.

I have heard most of the session tapes for that means a lot. I have no idea where this boomy church style reverb came from

You really ought to put the word "Speculation" somewhere in these thread titles.

Any 2025 super deluxe would hopefully be ramped up with the movie soundtrack material.
    Possible material for contents:

    UK album Stereo Remix.
    Outtakes of 1965 sessions.
US album (original 1965 Stereo and Mono).
UK album (original 1965 Stereo and Mono).
    Movie DVD.
    Movie score complete (as possible)
'Yesterday', 'Help!', 'Ticket To Ride' vinyl 45 rpm singles.
'Eight Arms To Hold You' movie poster.

I get a headache anytime someone says 'demixing.'

I'd prefer any original rough (or even acetate) mixes over that. They don't do it too often but I'd really like them to include original rough mixes like they did with the long medley on Abbey Road and the few they let us have on the Pepper deluxe. Out there in boot land, there's some cool early mixes with George Martin at the beginning of each song that were sent for the film. "You're Going To Lose That Girl" has a completely different solo. I'd hope something like that would be included. To round it out, putting a replica of George Martin's own Help! album in the box would be kind of cool. He was still using early titles like "Scrambled Eggs."

Was it something done for the original Sessions LP back in the 80's? I would assume Tommy Quickly got the final band demo to work off. I don't recall the sourcing that went on Anthology and where it originated. Anyone know?

The reverb. Was the reverb applied for the aborted Sessions LP or was it something done originally in 1965? Surely someone here knows.

Oh, well the overpowering reverb certainly wasn’t there in 1965. Take one (which was the basis for the version anthology that was then added onto) was just as dry as the other help recordings

My theory is that the reverb was added to it during the making of anthology to mask the problems with the frankiestien production

With the version of "That Means A Lot" on Anthology 2, our member Slane gave a very useful tip in this thread:
    Ticket To Ride- song origin?*
If you follow that and use the right channel only to make a mono mix you will have a cleaner-sounding version of the track.
