I pronounce mine "Mitsubishi" since I don't have a Sony in the house. :D

I'd have a hard time buying something that is pronounced like one of the all-time worst cars ever built. What's next? The Sylvania Pinto? The Panasonic Yugo? The Magnavox Chevette?? :D

Now I have this sudden urge to make a trip up to the Sony outlet... ;)

    Ouch.

The correct pronunciation should be "Vega".... as in "Sega". Yep. Sounds exactly the same... that is, if the world itself is in spanish (which I think it is - at least that's the way every ad pronounces it around here).

Then again, Sony can call it whatever they want to...

I am squarely in the "Vay-ga" camp, but I suspect my wife finds theat pronounciation a bit pretentious.

Well at least you can go to your local Mitsubishi dealer and buy a car!

I've pronounced WEGA as Wee-gah, Vee-gah, and Vay-gah. And I pronounce my TV as XBR, too.

Im quite sure is "vega". I have seen tv spots from Sony about that TV, and they say it "Souny Vega"

Kind of topic. How do you say "Bose". Bous, Boss...how?!!?!?!? It´s driving me nuts!

I have heard it pronounced "bow-zay", but that must be wrong :D... it should probably be "bouz". The company was apparently founded by a Dr. Amar Bose.

I call the Wega one heavy-ass TV set. Must be over 300 lbs. No burgulars gonna be take taking my Wega without some kind of cart.

OK, I have to go shopping now at Target (and that would be "tar-JAY").
