Here comes summer .. time for The Beach Boys anyone ?

We can't wait for June! Yes of course. Just spun Summer Days and Summer Nights and Today! yesterday. Classics. Today is my favorite. Pet Sounds. Surfer Girl. Love You.

 

Any time of the year is time for The Beach Boys.

The early surf and sun stuff is especially appropriate for summer though.

 

I got the opening track for the summer. Not open to discussion. My taste is the deciding factor. Sorry. Just the way it works!

 

Time for ' Sunflower ' . But then again it's always time for ' Sunflower '.

I’m not a fan of the surf-music.
Much rather listen to the sophisticated stuff, which is not very ‘summer-like’...

I hardly know their discography.

But any excuse to put on Good Vibrations - one of my favorite songs ever recorded just due to the context of when it was made and how it manages to be an amazing pop song and one of the most forward thinking pieces of music ever recorded.

Loving the good vibes in this thread! All Summer Long is my go-to for those summer sounds. Crazily, I tend to play side 1 from a mono LP, and side 2 from a stereo!

54 years ago the Sounds was released on the world.

'sunflower' for me, essential summer vibes.
'surf's up' too, don't really dig the early surf stuff but love the versions on the 'holland' era double live set, that's the one I save for the hottest day of the year
