He was "cute" the first couple seasons, like when he would be around Tim and all that but once he grew up no thanks

Yeah, he was alright in the earlier seasons, but he or his character became nothing towards the end. I rewatched all of the episodes quite recently, I still think a lot of it's pretty funny. My era of TV though, I'm sure there would be plenty of people now that would be 'upset' by some of what they say now, 'outdated' jokes from Tim. My kind of humor however, I miss this type of comedy from TV.
At about 3:15 in the episode 'Overactive Glance' (one of my top-ten of the HI episodes), Jill and her friend Karen are just turning on the TV to watch Tim's segment of Gadget Corner. There is no standard backing behind the entertainment center prop, so you can clearly see a crew member moving his head above the TV set for about three seconds.
Heads up: Laff along with UP TV will both be having Home Improvement marathons later on this afternoon. Laff's will be starting at 1:00 PM, while UP TV’s will be starting at 3:00 PM.
What I always liked best about Home Improvement were the bloopers. I've done 3 gigs on Last Man Standing, and those were pretty funny blooper-wise. The morning/afternoon rehearsals being pretty low key. But once the 7pm audience taping begins, it's like everyone's fried or something. Lots of restarts. Tim going on and on with a nutty thing that is complete blooperville stuff. I was in the show on one occasion where most of the crew, and half the cast were coming down with the flu...restarts were going on and on.....yet Tim was on a roll with stuff that was hilarious. Vic was trying to direct, keep his cool, downing NyQuil...and still managed to keep chuckling at Tim's outbursts. I imagined that's pretty much what the trip must have been during Home Improvement's run
