Oh boy... Here we go. In 2018, you can't even call a woman a whiner without being told you're insecure. Major facepalm moment for you, dude. She wasn't a strong character. She was a humorless bore and a constant party-pooper.
Yep. Can't imagine how it'll be in 10-20 years. Comedians will have to do jokes about oranges and sidewalks, lest they face the consequences of virtue-signalers who can't tell the difference between a joke and a serious statement.
Let's face the facts NO ONE tuned in to see what Jill was up to and her constant bitching about sexism and deep psychological analysis was annoying as hell
That's rich. Get back to me once you're done with the virtue signaling and insinuating that a woman can't be called a whiner without resorting to calling people insecure.
And let's not forget the double-standard of always having the guy in sitcoms being the clueless idiot while the woman is always enlightened and smart. No sexism there, right?
I loved the show! writing and acting was brilliant ! I don't like Last Man Standing poor righting very poor acting and really is trash compared to home improvement !
It was like a combination of What's My Line and I've Got A Secret. They were blindfolded, slime was involved as well.
What other kind of wife could a character like Tim Taylor have? Someone had to be the grownup on that show.
Of course. And on the flipside, she also couldn't be right all the time either. There's no comedy in never being wrong.
A couple of years ago I set out to buy all seasons of "Home Improvement" on DVD (it wasn't on Hulu at the time). I found that they only did Season 1 in the U.S. because of music rights issues. I bought it from the UK where an all-season box set was available (it wasn't region encoded). I enjoyed it immensely and thought that Ms. Richardson did a fine portrayal of the only "grown-up" character in that household.
Why? It's comedy. It doesn't have to make sense. Friends didn't have any grownups. Neither did Cheers. Tons of plot holes but these shows worked in spite of that because they were deemed funny by the audience.
The one where Brad starts his first part time job. Didn't see a whole lot of it, but the description said he was focusing on his job instead of his studies.
I feel like in starting 5 the show really became hit or miss. There was some decent episodes but most were pretty boring
Okay. Let's talk about the WORST episodes of the show. For starters, there is this. The Worst Episodes of Home Improvement
