I feel like I’m a bit late starting this but there’s a good handful of movies coming that I’m excited about! I saw Immaculate today and loved it. It was tense and horrifying and Sydney Sweeney has an excellent scream. I think Late Night With the Devil will be next up. And I’m pretty psyched for Longlegs, the new Oz Perkins movie

I thought "Late Night With the Devil" had great potential - and had several great payoffs - but got too complicated for its own good. If they were a bit simpler it had the potential to be great.

I haven't seen the "Longlegs" trailer yet but I'm a big fan of "Blackcoat's Daughter" and look forward to it. "I Saw the TV Glow" looks compelling, and I can't wait to see "MaXXXine" either.

Yea I will see whatever Oz Perkins makes on the strength of The Blackcoat’s Daughter. I love that movie so much

Saw Late Night with the Devil this week, highly enjoyable with a great retro feel

I think I am the only person in my family willing to give 'The First Omen' a chance, partly because the great Ralph Ineson is in it and also because I love the original, and like the 'Omen II'.

I really liked it, too. The film's not exactly subtle in evoking the current threats to women's autonomy and right to choose, but I'm down with that. Sometimes the message needs to be obvious (and loud).

Yep, I had the same thought while watching it. Sometimes blunt force trauma is what’s needed

I just got back from seeing Immaculate. Big thumbs up from me.

If you haven't seen it, think twice before clicking on this:
Did anyone else think of Rosemary's Baby at the end? I honestly didn't know what Cecilia would do, and she seemed to be giving it some thought too--or at least that's how I read her expression. But then... :yikes:

One hell of an ending, that was. :agree:

Saw a number of horror trailers before it:

    The First Omen
    Abigail
    Sting
    Cuckoo
    In a Violent Nature
    Longlegs
    Arcadian

Nic Cage is in the last two.

I looked up The First Omen after seeing the trailer. I'd never heard of the director, Arkasha Stevenson, but she's highly acclaimed for her work on a couple of TV shows (Legion, Channel Zero).

I saw all the same trailers. Cuckoo looks pretty wild. In a Violent Nature seems like Friday the 13th turned up to 11!

I saw Late Night with the Devil and The First Omen today. The first one has some good stuff, as others have said, but I wasn't crazy about how it wrapped up. First Omen was better, though it's very similar to another recent movie that I preferred. I might have even discussed it in this thread... ;)

Trailer for Maxxxine (final installment of the trilogy that started with X and Pearl).

It’s red band so there are some bad words in it.

I thought X was decent, but I loved Pearl. I'm looking forward to this one.
