I have some SACDs for which there is some information on the Web but for which there is no sales history. Since I cannot auction them here or, even, post a price with an "OBO," I cannot see how to offer them.

    Any suggestions?

Then you can set the price , as buyers are limited to the same info as you.

Useless. One cannot know what information or motivation others have.

Where are you selling them? Here on the forum? Have you checked Discogs and eBay?

What are the titles? Do they have UPC codes? If so, you can do a search using the UPC.

I have done all that. There are critical comments but no sales history. at least for the past 10 years.

This is always the case. Any price you set, including zero, will be more than many people's interest. What's your motivation?

Start high. Decrease incrementally until sold.

Find some similar artists/albums and see what they are going for. Is it a small indy label that didn't press many or a major label that did multiple pressings? Higher if indy, lower if major. Just come up with a reasonable price for a couple of them and put it on discogs or ebay and see happens. If they don't have any takers you've over priced it. If they go quickly you've underpriced it. Then put up a few more based on this information.

How much do you have invested in your SACDs? You can start there. If there is no sales history or other info, my guess is their is little to no demand unless you find a collector who wants it. Two school's of thought. List high, then gradually reduce price as others have suggested. That's what I do although I sell on Ebay. The alternative is list low in an auction format and let the market determine price. I realize auction is not available here.

As another has suggested Kal, which ones? Some of us may have some info that could be helpful.

OK. I've tried all the obvious sites including the ones suggested here. So, here goes:

No luck at my end (which I figured would be the case) but perhaps that'll help someone else provide assistance. Good luck

I would list them as a set on eBay with a high fixed price and a best offer option. I imagine selling them as a set is going to bring more than selling them one-by-one.

Or if you want to test your luck, you can list them with a moderate starting bid auction style on eBay.

I have no idea if these are considered desirable, but if anyone desires them, and there are no others to be found, you might get lucky.

There have to be some classical oriented on line forums where people seek music. Our primary used store has been marking down classical LPs and CDs as they obviously aren’t selling, but there are collectors out there in cyberspace.
